What We Do:
New Mexico Appleseed crafts and advocates for high impact policy solutions to the problems impacting the poor and underserved. We are part of the national Appleseed Network of 17 centers in the U.S. and in Mexico. We are nonprofit and nonpartisan.

How We Do It:
Evidence-Based Policy: All of our policy recommendations are based on evidence. Whether looking at how school breakfast impacts academic achievement or the fiscal impact of feeding children for free, we use solid data to make a case for change.
Collaborative Change: Change comes through compromise and agreement. We work with stakeholders not against them.
No Litigation: We believe that while litigation is an important tool, it is not one that leads to the long-term trust required to get stakeholders to change.
Ethics: New Mexico Appleseed has an Ethics Policy that assures that everything we do furthers our mission of improving the lives of the poor and underserved.
